YIN YOGA

 

Yin allows you to completely draw your awareness inwards and search deep down for understanding. On a physical level it deeply stretches the body’s connective tissue, particularly around the pelvic, hips and spine. We’ll add in some softly flowing poses to create a wonderfully relaxing, releasing class to help you ground and become present no matter what your week has thrown at you!

Focus for next term: Awakening to your True Nature

“… Awakening is a kind of flowering of consciousness …”   ~ Nirmala

 

Awakening to your True Nature means to remove the mind-made filters and obstacles that prevent us from seeing and achieving our full potential. Yogic practices help us to do this through shifting energies, by removing the veils of illusion and bringing us home to our hearts core.

 

This term, starting the week of 6 January 2020, we will be exploring ways that we can do this by tapping into the innate qualities and energy within all of us, to raise our vibration and awareness and ultimately live the life of our dreams.

 

Shakti is the primordial feminine energy of creation that can help us to do this. She takes many forms, lives in all beings and flows through the universe. Shakti is synonymous with empowerment, creativity and movement and we can awaken this energy within to release negative emotions, habitual patterns of behaviour and open our hearts.

 

Here's a brief schedule of what you can expect:

 

Week 1 – Introduction to Shakti and the archetypes within

Week 2 – Tapping into your Inner Strength

Week 3 – Awakening Creativity

Week 4 – Calling in Abundance and Success

Week 5 – Letting go of Fears & Doubts

Week 6 – Coming Home to your Heart
