GENTLE & RESTORATIVE
These classes will have a softer, gentler approach focusing on your breath, your anchor and fluid, safe movements allowing you to awaken the energy within rather than deplete it. It will target what you can do rather than what you can’t. You will have the time and space to listen to your body and work at your own pace.
Ideal for those returning to yoga after an injury, on days when the energy in the body is low or those wishing/needing to be gentle with the body.
Have you ever noticed the effect that your yoga practice has on your emotions?
It’s often like a welcome sense of spaciousness, as though we’ve cleaned a room in our inner selves so that light can come shining through.
Or sometimes it may be that our practice brings up a swell of negative emotions that we didn’t even know were there.
Either way our practice asks us to simply be present to those experiences and allow them to move through the body and be released. It teaches us to not cling to any one experience or emotions and simply stay in the present moment.
Our new term start w/c 2 Sept and during our Gentle & Restorative classes we are going to focus on exploring the emotional effects of our practice.
Here’s a brief schedule of what you can expect:
Week 1 – Intro to how yoga effects our emotions and nervous system
Week 2 – The only constant is change so why not embrace it!
Week 3 – Tensions and frustrations in the body
Week 4 – Attitude of Gratitude to change our perception
Week 5 – Feel the fear and do it anyway!
Week 6 – Planting seeds of love
Week 7 – Letting go of perfection
Week 8 – Developing patience
So if you'd like to come and explore more of what yoga has to offer and how your practice can help you to release emotions so you can live a life full of ease and grace, then make sure you book your term below.
