FLOW & REFLECT

 

Harmonise your breath and movement to build strength, stamina and freedom in your body. Explore the deeper connections between poses while listening to your own beautiful rhythm. We’ll draw inspiration from Mother Nature herself and create a moving meditation with our bodies which will help keep the spine juicy and flexible and also get the heart moving. Ending with a guided meditation and pranayama to deeply ground and bring you into the present moment.

 

There will be an exploration of options so suitable for beginners who are ready to work a little harder.

Focus for next term: Emotions

    Have you ever noticed the effect that your yoga practice has on your emotions?

     

    It’s often like a welcome sense of spaciousness, as though we’ve cleaned a room in our inner selves so that light can come shining through.

     

    Or sometimes it may be that our practice brings up a swell of negative emotions that we didn’t even know were there.

     

    Either way our practice asks us to simply be present to those experiences and allow them to move through the body and be released. It teaches us to not cling to any one experience or emotions and simply stay in the present moment.

     

    Our new term start w/c 24 February and during our Flow & Reflect classes we are going to focus on exploring the emotional effects of our practice.

     

    Here’s a brief schedule of what you can expect:

     

    Week 1 – How yoga effects our emotions and nervous system

    Week 2 – Developing patience
    Week 3 – Releasing tensions and frustrations in the body

    Week 4 – Attitude of Gratitude to change our perception

    Week 5 – Letting go of perfection

    Week 6 – Planting seeds of love
