“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.”
~Jon Kabat-Zinn

Whether you are dealing with loss, navigating chronic illness, recovering from burnout, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, it can be difficult to find calm in the chaos but it’s not impossible and I’d like to show you how.

“Calm in the Chaos” is a 3-hour mini retreat designed to help you reconnect with your inner strength and find peace, even when life feels turbulent.

Through a blend of gentle yoga, mindful meditation, breathwork and deep relaxation, this retreat will give you tools to navigate life’s challenges with more ease and clarity. By taking time to slow down and be present, you’ll discover how to transform discomfort into growth, fear into courage, and chaos into calm.

This mini retreat is for anyone seeking a deeper sense of peace in the midst of life’s difficulties. No prior experience is needed—just an open heart and a willingness to explore.

What You’ll Experience:

Ground & Connect

Our session will begin with a slow, mindful yoga practice, designed to help you find grounding and balance. This gentle flow is accessible to all levels, with a focus on movement that calms the nervous system and strengthens both body and mind. Through poses and breathwork, you’ll explore how to stay centered amidst life’s challenges.

Learning to Surf!

Next, we’ll dive into guided mindfulness meditations, where we’ll explore how to observe stress and discomfort without being consumed by them. Following the meditation, we’ll engage in discussion and inquiry, reflecting on how life’s storms affect us and how we can respond with more resilience. You’ll have the opportunity to share, listen, and discover new perspectives on handling challenges like loss, fatigue, illness, or daily stressors.

Tea & Homemade Plant-Based Treats:

We’ll take a short comfort break and gather for tea and nourishing homemade treats. This is a time to connect with others, and reflect on your experience so far in a supportive and relaxing environment.

Peace in the Pause

To close the retreat, Lou will guide you through a deeply restorative practice—yoga nidra (a form of guided meditation that brings you into deep relaxation) alongside a soothing sound bath with crystal singing bowls. This practice will allow you to fully release any tension, helping you integrate the lessons of the day and leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more at ease.

‘Yoga gives us peace and clarity in order to see the beauty and wonder that is all around us’

Louise Neicho

Having spent the first 20 years of my professional life working in and with Nature I feel a deep connection to the natural world that has promoted numerous benefits in my life. Combining this with a love and appreciation of yoga and mindfulness that spans over two decades has enabled me to share practices that help us connect more deeply with Nature and ourselves. I have completed over 1000hrs of yoga and mindfulness teacher training and in 2023 I received a distinction for my master’s degree in Mindfulness where my thesis focused on the wellbeing benefits of connecting with Nature. I can honestly say that yoga and Nature has saved my life on more than one occasion, and I don’t think I would be the person I am today if it wasn’t for my practice. To bring all of this together is simply a dream come true and I hope you will join me and our like-minded community soon.

Words from my clients

'These are more than yoga sessions! Louise has a gift at transferring a real sense of inner calm and peace, in what has been very challenging times. Her lessons are creative and extremely useful in understanding how to cope in challenging situations. I informed a friend quite simply attending online has been a game changer for me. I feel ready to conquer my day or week ahead. A priceless gift.'

‘A priceless gift’

'Louise has a very unique approach to teaching yoga, drawing learning from nature, neuroscience and nourishing spiritual teachings! I love the variety in her programmes, which combine mindfulness practices, movement and postures, readings and poetry, with wisdom and warmth. I am learning so much about how the mind, body and spirit can work together to cultivate compassion, strength and resilience for ourselves and those around us.'

‘A unique appraoch to yoga’
by Liz Hobman

'What I love best about your classes is that they not only give the benefit of a yoga practice but also deliver simple and practical ways to apply the weekly themes and help support mental wellbeing which is especially important at this time. Speaking as someone who struggled to make time for a single weekly practice, I am now getting to my yoga mat most days and it has become a ‘non-negotiable’ in my daily life and one which I make time for.'
