Slowing down does not come easy for most of us.
Our modern world means we’re often juggling a multitude of personal and professional things that if we’re not careful we can get swept away in the rush of it all and quickly become overwhelmed.

For this reason and the fact that slowing down has been a long process for me and a practice I’ve gained so much benefited from, I created ‘Slow Soul Sundays‘.

This mini retreat will give you time and space to nourish yourself from the inside out. To be supported so that you can rest with no agenda, expectations or needing to ‘do’ anything.

Think of these an antidote to the crazy mess the world is in and a way to find peace, solace and calm, a kind of ‘mini retreat’ that will leave you feeling grounded, rested and a little bit slower (body and mind!) as you approach a new working week.

Through yoga, mindfulness, breathwork and deep rest we will create space in the mind, body and soul and re-learn what it means to go slower. Allow yourself to be held in a safe space where you can be just as you are.

Although full lived on the mat, I‘ll offer tools and techniques that can be used off the mat to maintain this sense of slowing down.

We will practice in the lovely light filled, spacious Kinsbourne Barn in Harpenden. *Limited spaces so do secure your place soon if you’d like to join us.

This retreat is for everybody, complete beginners are very welcome, come just as you are!

Here’s what Louise has planned for this retreat:

Mindset Meditation

Louise will begin by guiding you through an intention setting meditation to explore any mindsets that might be present around what going slowly means to you.

Slowing Down is a Practice

We’ll move into a very gentle, mindful movement practice that focuses on slowness, building presence and being fine just where you are.

The Art of Stopping

We’ll explore the art of stopping by moving into long held restorative poses that deeply relax the body and calm the nervous system.

The Gift of the Winter Cycle

Winter is all about slowness and our deeply relaxing yoga nidra practice with sound therapy will explore how we can invite this wisdom in.

We’ll conclude our mini-retreat with a chance to share tea and homemade treats together.

This retreat is for everybody, complete beginners are very welcome, come just as you are!

Just £45 per person if booked before 13 Oct (£55 after).

‘Yoga gives us peace and clarity in order to see the beauty and wonder that is all around us’

Louise Neicho

Having spent the first 20 years of my professional life working in and with Nature I feel a deep connection to the natural world that has promoted numerous benefits in my life. Combining this with a love and appreciation of yoga and mindfulness that spans over two decades has enabled me to share practices that help us connect more deeply with Nature and ourselves. I have completed over 1000hrs of yoga and mindfulness teacher training and in 2023 I received a distinction for my master’s degree in Mindfulness where my thesis focused on the wellbeing benefits of connecting with Nature. I can honestly say that yoga and Nature has saved my life on more than one occasion, and I don’t think I would be the person I am today if it wasn’t for my practice. To bring all of this together is simply a dream come true and I hope you will join me and our like-minded community soon.

Words from my clients

'These are more than yoga sessions! Louise has a gift at transferring a real sense of inner calm and peace, in what has been very challenging times. Her lessons are creative and extremely useful in understanding how to cope in challenging situations. I informed a friend quite simply attending online has been a game changer for me. I feel ready to conquer my day or week ahead. A priceless gift.'

‘A priceless gift’
byLiza Timpson

'Louise has a very unique approach to teaching yoga, drawing learning from nature, neuroscience and nourishing spiritual teachings! I love the variety in her programmes, which combine mindfulness practices, movement and postures, readings and poetry, with wisdom and warmth. I am learning so much about how the mind, body and spirit can work together to cultivate compassion, strength and resilience for ourselves and those around us.'

‘A unique appraoch to yoga’
by Liz Hobman

'What I love best about your classes is that they not only give the benefit of a yoga practice but also deliver simple and practical ways to apply the weekly themes and help support mental wellbeing which is especially important at this time. Speaking as someone who struggled to make time for a single weekly practice, I am now getting to my yoga mat most days and it has become a ‘non-negotiable’ in my daily life and one which I make time for.'
